Paul's Adventures - A Fiction Series

by Lutheran Nude

Introduction

With the launch of the Magnolia and Moss storyline, and Paul’s New Job chapter rewrite, Sunny asked me to do a short introduction about what I am attempting, so that there is less misunderstanding.

My thoughts when I decided that I would write some naturist/nudist fiction, and it is all a fiction, was to always keep it fresh for myself. Thus, the ‘stories within a story’ concept.

I have several projects going, all inter-related, and for now, all surround readings from a notebook discovered among the personal effects of the unfortunate Mr. Jacobsen, who was first introduced in the opening scene of Magnolia and Moss. Mr. Jacobsen and Paul are NOT the same person.

Excerpts from this opening scene will also be revisited when I finish the 1st chapter in the County Metro Hospital series, whose main characters will be Tom Elliot and Pastor Linda Wasserman. It is Pastor Linda who is reading from this notebook.

Please keep this in mind: All of the Paul Adventures at Magnolia and Moss stories are stories from inside this notebook. There will be more characters, character development, life issues to be learned and experienced, etc. Paul’s story is a multi-chapter story, and will run for about a year of story time, beginning several weeks before Memorial Day (a US holiday last weekend of May), through that summer, into the following summer, and most likely, with a follow-up several to 25(?) years later. My chapters run long, and Sunny will break them up into manageable sections as needed by her blog requirements. Please don’t take “The End” at the end of any one section as ‘the ultimate end’ until you have reached a 2nd Labor Day weekend in the storyline. I hope that is understandable to all.

I’ll have numerous threads running throughout my stories. Something said or done by someone, which may seem innocuous in one chapter, can and will come back in some much bigger way later…maybe later in the same chapter, maybe the next chapter, but definitely sometime in the future. Some will be mysteries, like what happened to Paul’s graduate school advisor (introduced in the teaser chapter Magnolia and Moss), with more brought up in future chapters. Some will be character and plot development, love interests and family/friend relationships. There are little nuggets from time to time. Did anyone catch the phone number for Magnolia and Moss, and figure out what the last four digits spell? That’s the way my humor runs at times.

When I get tired of working on Paul stories, I’ll go back to working on the ‘outside’ story. Linda Wasserman and Tom Elliott will be main characters, but not the only ones. Their stories will be under other titles: County Metro Hospital, where Mr. Jacobsen is recovering and Tom Elliott works; or the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saint James and Saint John, where Pastor Linda Wasserman serves as the junior pastor. I will always work on tying up loose ends by the end of every story, but if there are some that are left untidy…that’s life.

That being said, I want to answer several issues:

First, I don’t have a hidden agenda. There is no ‘invisible ink’ font on my computer, and I don’t ‘write’ stuff between the lines. My purpose in writing these stories is an outlet, MY outlet, in exploring naturism/nudism, asking questions through my characters, and learning answers through my research. On the topic of research, I will admit that I am not an expert on much, but I will research everything thoroughly where I don’t know, and even areas where I do.

Secondly, Art is Art. It is neither good nor bad. It is what you, the observer, viewer, listener, reader will decide for yourself about that painting or sculpture, play or movie, music or song, poetry or prose. It is YOUR responsibility. If you go in looking for a virtual closet to discover skeletons, you are sure to find them. Do yourself a favor…don’t go looking for things that aren’t there.

It truly is a ‘work in progress’. There may be a few stories (like movie shorts) thrown in that have nothing to do with Paul, stories that aren’t quite finished, loose ends where my thoughts haven’t quite reached their end. Or there may be stories that aren’t as polished as you, the reader, think they should be. They may seem disjointed, which is on purpose and probably part of my style. Will it work? We shall see. If you don’t like it, you can always click on the little ‘x’ in the upper right corner of your screen. But I hope you enjoy reading my writing, as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
